International students can now apply for East China Normal University’s Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) programme. International students wishing to study in Shanghai, China in 2024 can apply for the East China Normal University Shanghai Government Scholarship, which provides full funding.

The Shanghai Government (also known as the Chinese Government Scholarship) provides financial assistance to international students studying in China for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. International students from all countries are welcome to apply for a full-time degree program at East China Normal University; the scholarships 2024 are fully funded and cover tuition, on-campus housing, stipends, and medical insurance.

Shanghai Government Scholarships at East China Normal University Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate needs to be in good health, an international student, and not a citizen of China.
  • A candidate for a pre-college programme needs to be under 23 years old and have completed high school.
  • A candidate for a bachelor’s degree programme must be under 25 and have a high school diploma.
  • A candidate for a master’s programme needs to be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • A candidate for a Ph.D. programme must be under 40 years old and hold a master’s degree.
