FAO Fellowship Programme 2024 for Young Professionals – Applications for the 2024 FAO Fellowship Programme is currently available. The Fellows Programme seeks to attract fellows, who are frequently PhD students, researchers, or professors with considerable technical knowledge and experience in any of the Organization’s domains. They are eager to accomplish their specialized learning goals while simultaneously offering their technical skills and knowledge through time-bound agreements with FAO.The FAO Fellowship Program for 2024 is now accepting applications. The goal of the Fellows Program is to draw fellows, who are often professors, researchers, or PhD candidates with extensive technical expertise in any of the Organization’s areas of focus. They are keen to meet their specific learning objectives and to provide their technical expertise and knowledge to FAO through time-bound agreements.

Assignments should align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework to advance the 2030 Agenda by transforming agri-food systems to be more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable, resulting in improved production, nutrition, environment, and life for all.

•    Graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) or be enrolled in a PhD programme in a “bona fide” educational institution at the time of application or recent graduate. Please note that FAO only considers higher educational qualifications obtained from an institution accredited/recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED), a list updated by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The list can be accessed at http://www.whed.net/.

•    Candidates should have at least two years of relevant working or research experience in one of the fields of the Organization.
•    Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish). Knowledge of a second FAO language will be considered an asset.
•    Be nationals of FAO Members.
•    Candidates should be able to adapt to an international multicultural environment and have good communication skills.
