Fedex Tech Bootcamp for African Girls 2024
FedEx is partnering with She Code Africa to empower the next generation of female tech professionals.
Our objective is to empower 100,000 young girls and women in technology by 2030, and the She Code Africa Academy Program is another step toward making that a reality.
If you are a passionate African young girl or woman between the ages of 18 and 45 who aspires to a meaningful tech career, now is your moment to take action!
We are offering four exciting tracks in:
- Product Design
- Product Management
- Front-End Development (React)
- Back-End Development.

This 12-week intensive bootcamp provides expert-led instruction from industry professionals, real-world projects for hands-on experience, a supportive community to connect and build your network, career mentoring for personalized guidance, a one-month paid internship for practical application, and hiring opportunities with top tech companies.
Available Courses at Fedex Tech Bootcamp for African Girls 2024
1) School of Engineering
Join the She Code Africa School of Engineering, funded by FedEx. Geared towards helping 100 African women in kickstarting their tech careers, this program offers a 12-week intensive bootcamp from April to June 2024.
The 2-3 month Engineering program includes a range of essential tech courses, from Software Engineering (Web and Mobile), to Cloud Engineering, Data Science and Data Analytics and Hardware Engineering such as Robotics.
2) School of Product
Join the She Code Africa Shool of Product, funded by FedEx. Geared towards helping 100 African women in kickstarting their tech careers, this program offers a 12-week intensive bootcamp from April to June 2024.
Tailored for African women aged 18 to 45, it focuses on software engineering, product design, and product management, delivering in-depth technical training, career mentorship, resources, and internship opportunities.

Eligible participants must:
- Be an active member of the She Code Africa Community (sign up here: www.shecodeafrica.org. Please note that our community membership application review process typically spans one week, during which your application must demonstrate sufficient credibility for it to be approved).
- Be able to show proof of foundational knowledge or skills in chosen track
- Possess a working Laptop and have access to internet connectivity for the full duration of the program
- Be able to complete chosen course within 5 months / 20 weeks
- Be available for monthly check-in calls
- Applicants who are beginners or at entry or mid-levels of their chosen tech tracks will be given priority consideration.
