The KAAD Germany Scholarship will cover visa fees, lodging, flights to and from Germany, language training in Germany prior to starting studies, and other expenses.

The award is intended to help citizens interested in research and postgraduate studies. The application procedure is assisted by authorized Partner Committees in participating nations, with some exceptions made for other regions.

KAAD Germany Scholarship Details

The KAAD is the Catholic Church of Germany’s scholarship organization for postgraduates and academics from (developing) nations in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern and Southern Europe.

It supports its scholarship holders by giving scholarships, educational events, and personal and spiritual mentoring in preparation for future increasing activities in their home countries.

This is done in collaboration with partner committees and associations of past scholarship holders in various countries, with the goal of expanding (academic) networks and contributing to holistic development that encompasses the religious and interreligious dimensions.
The KAAD Germany Scholarship Program is aimed at postgraduates and academics living in their native countries who have prior professional experience.

The focus is on postgraduate studies or research stays in Germany. Administered by regional partner committees, the program emphasizes documents submitted to the applicant’s home country committee.
