The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to assist in the monitoring and evaluation activities of the Foundation. The objective of this position is to provide support to a newly qualified individual embarking on their career in monitoring and evaluation (M&E)

Internship Objectives

Support M&E framework development
- Assist in the development of monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Collaborate with M&E Specialist to refine indicators, data collection methods, and reporting mechanisms.

Data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Contribute to the collection of quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, and other methods.
- Contribute to data analysis under guidance of M&E Specialist to derive meaningful insights and trends that inform decision-making and programme improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on programme and project performance.

Learning and Development
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to build skills in monitoring and evaluation, where relevant.
- Take initiative to learn about new tools, methodologies, and best practices in the field.

Experience and Qualifications

Identification with the Foundation’s Vision, Mission, and Ethos
Postgraduate (Honours or Master’s) degree in relevant field – e.g., Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics, International Development.
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel, Stata)
Strong interest in monitoring and evaluation, with a desire to learn and contribute to the field
Research or M&E experience advantageous
