United States African Development Foundation African Women Entrepreneurs Program
The African Women Entrepreneurs Program-Reimagined grant is being offered by the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) in collaboration with the United States Department of State Africa Bureau. This is the second application cycle for this scholarship, and only applicants from the countries listed below are eligible to apply: Namibia, Mauritania, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, Uganda, and Zambia are among the countries represented.
Award: USD$50,000 – USD$100,000 to each of the selected winners

Who qualifies?
Applicants must be woman-owned to be considered and 100% African-owned and managed; legally registered and operating in the country from which they make the application, with basic functional management and financial controls for at least 3 years and a banking history of no less than 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Majority (OVER 50 percent)woman applicant-owned and managed –
- 100 percent African-owned
- In operation and legally registered for at least three years
- The business is located and operates in a designated USADF program country.
- Successful UEI approval
- Proposal for use of grant money
- Business owners are not government employees.
- Income generating entity (cannot be not for profit)
