Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program 2024

The World Bank’s Youth-to-Youth Community’s Global Youth Climate Network announced, in collaboration with Connect4Climate, the continuation of the Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program and the launch of a brand-new call for applications at a dedicated World Bank Pavilion side event at COP28!Max Thabiso Edkins was an incredible climate leader with a love for young empowerment, and this program was designed as a meaningful way to memorialize his memory.

The MTECAP is a six-month online program that enables participants to connect with one another, learn from World Bank experts and GYCN and C4C partners, and take effective climate action both locally and globally. A combination of scientific and hands-on sessions provides ambassadors with in-depth information and awareness of climate change, as well as advice on how to creatively transmit this knowledge to local and global audiences.
